The Ridgid 62862 is an electric soldering gun. This soldering gun is a lightweight, rugged electric soldering gun that sweats joints on copper tube up to 3". The RT-175 will operate on a standard 115v, 15 AMP outlet. There is no open flame to worry about igniting wallboard, insulation or studs and joists in the walls.
